Our history
Ray and Sons Plumbers was established in 2006 in Edinburgh, Scotland, under the directorship of its founder, Ray Dutuma. Over the years he has built businesses that still operate today. A sister company, I & R Plumbing, is based in Zimbabwe. There are further branches in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The founder has 27 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He is a civil engineer, a master plumber and a holder of City & Guilds in plumbing. He also holds a diploma in health and safety in construction, a drainlayer licence, and a project management qualification — all attained in the United Kingdom.
We value quality service, a quick response and guaranteed workmanship. We make sure the job is done correctly the first time so you avoid spending money on additional repairs. Our expertise in the trade is what lets us deliver that standard, consistently, throughout Southern Africa.

We are one of the few civil and plumbing companies that can offer three inspections at once: plumbing, beetle and electrical compliance, plus the maintenance that follows. Certificates of compliance are issued on the work we sign.
